Happens In Greece The economic crisis from another point of view

16Jun/12

German and European newspapers demand that Greece must continue with austerity!

Only one day after the scandalous article of Financial Times Germany which calls Greeks to vote in favor of pro-bailout conservative "New Democracy" party another article from the German "Bild" tries to terrify and influence the Greek people in order to vote for a government which will continue with the austerity program.

Yesterday, the Financial Times of  Germany published and article with the tittle “Resist to the  Demagogue” where the newspaper stated clearly:

Resist to demagogy of Alexis Tsipras and SYRIZA. Do not trust their promises that the denouncement of the loan agreements is possible without consequences..

Your country finally needs a functioning state. For your smooth governance we recommend Nea Dimocratia, even thought the recommendation is half-hearted…The best option for your country would be a coalition government with Antonis Samaras as leader and not Alexis Tsipras…..”

Today, "Bild" moved the propaganda one step forward with an article that had the tittle "Dear Greeks, don't make the mistake now...":

Dear Greeks,
You are proud people... a proud country. Tomorrow you have elections, again.
You say: We are free.
Bild says: Is it in your hand.
There is a difference...
If you didn't want our billions of euro, you would be free to elect every left-wing or right-wing fool you may wish....
But for the last 2 years the situation is this: Your banks continue to give you euro only because Germany and the other countries of the Eurozone give you money...
However Greeks continue to insult us and call us Nazis, which it is not funny at all...
If  the parties which plan to stop the austerity (in violation of any agreement) win the upcoming elections - WE WILL STOP PAYING!

The deal is this: you reform your country and in the meantime we will help you.
If you don't want our help anymore, nor do we want to help you.
It's up to you....
Tomorrow you have elections. But you have no options. You choose between painful prudence and total destruction.
And we are very afraid that you have not realized it yet...

Sincerely,BILD

In the meanwhile, REUTERS reports that "European leaders urged Greece to reject radical leftists who threaten to tear up the terms of a bailout deal should they win an election on Sunday, a result that would send shockwaves through global financial markets."

So, for all of you that you are still undecided about your vote... You do not have to think any more! Just read a German newspaper and your answer is there! VOTE for GERMANY!

  1. Yes, but this is BILD, the most stupid german newspaper, with naked women on the back, you should not read
that crap. Stay with DIE ZEIT, FRANKFURTER ALLGEMEINE or SÜDDEUTSCHE if you want to have an intelligent opinion. This doesn´t represent anything. Greetings from Berlin.

  2. Greece will probably stay in the euro and there will be further defaults. As long as Greece can demonstrate it is prepared to reform, the money will keep coming. The alternative is that Greece leaves. Other countries will follow and that would be the end of the ‘euro project’. Europe has realised that Greece’s problems are not unique, and that the major flaws of a poorly thought-out project must be fixed rather than threatening naughty members with expulsion when they misbehave- in hope to frighten the others.

  3. I’m disgusted by the BILD article but not very shocked as it is like Marie said: They are the worst junk that calls itself newspaper. They spread hatred, fear and (at least nice to look at, and that’s why it sells) boobs. Many are influenced by it without recognizing it, it’s the same with TV, and all the other PR. But at least a few Germans have left a bit brain to think and ignore the mass media. Don’t listen to anyone tho. Look around you and you’ll know what to do.
