Desperate man in Greece sets himself on Fire!

A desperate man who lost his house as a result of bank loan set himself on fire in Thessaloniki. The man walked in front of the bank, applyed petrol on this body and set himself on fire. Equipped with petrol and also a loudspeaker the man standed in front ofPireos bank and shouted against the government, the banks and the politicians. Police officers as well as some bank employees attempted to calm him down, but all of a sudden he poured the petrol onto his body and set himself on fire.

Police officers made use of fire extinguishers in order  to rescue him. The man got injured and he was rushed to the hospital. As stated by the police, the desperate man has repeated the same action in the past.

He couldn't pay off his bank loan as a result of losing his job and  the bank was threatening to take his home.
