Angela Merkel in Athens today!

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is due to Athens today, Tuesday, October 9th 2012.

Greek police issued a statement that any public gatherings and marches would be banned that time in a large area around the city center. (Follow the link to see the map below)

Greek police are preparing a huge security operation involving 7,000 officers, backed up by rooftop snipers, water cannon and a helicopter to protect German chancellor Angela Merkel during her visit to Athens. 300 members of the coastguard have also been drafted-in to bolster the security operation.

The elderly recalled the days during the junta (1967-1974), when puppet government and the colonels were imposing bans on ‘meetings and gathering with participation of more than three people’.
It is obvious that the current European establishment has reached their limits.
They are tremendously afraid of their own citizens, treating them ruthlessly as convicted terrorists.

The iron fence surrounding Ms Merkel may stop the people from expressing openly their opinion before her.
But even she could listen to the people's voice, nothing would change. It is acknowledged that the present disastrous course of Europe cannot be stopped by deliberations between the governments and Ms Merkel.

Unfortunately, the Leadership of today lacks strength and the will to change.
